The Art Gallery - Dobrich is in possession of over 1700 paintings created from the beginning of the XX century to nowadays, except of one work from the XVII century painted by a French artist.

A great part of the works is thematically devoted to the Dobrudzha region. Those are mostly purchases from the national exhibitions under the heading "Land and People" organized from the 60-s to the middle of the 80-s in Dobrich.

The painting collection of the Art Gallery - Dobrich comprises works - part of the Golden Fund of Bulgarian Plastic Art. Those are the works of Ivan Mrkviska, Zlatyu Boyadzhiev, Assen Belkovski, Mario Zhekov, Christo Kavarnaliev, Stoyan Venev, Vladimir Dimitrov - Maystora /the Master/, Konstantin Shtarkelov etc.

The Art of the 60-s, the 70-s and the 80-s is widely presented by the various trends in Bulgarian Painting.
The development of the local artistic life could be also followed by the work of the Dobrudzha artists.
